The Henola industrial hemp variety is the most recent variety developed at the Institute of Natural Fibres and Medicinal Plants. The grain/oil variety, which is characterized by a grain yield higher than other varieties available on the market, short height of plants – up to about 2m, and a vegetation period shorter by 3 weeks as compared to Bialobrzeskie. Henola seed contains a very favorable ratio of fatty acids. This variety is listed in the EU Common Catalogue of Agricultural Crops and has been approved by the Colorado Department of Agriculture, USA.
